Places to Eat

Where to eat around here

A short list of the places we actually send guests to — starting with the two you can reach on foot.

  1. 1
On the walk to the beach

    Sunrise Cafe & Bakery

Breakfast and pastries, right on the route down to the sand — the easiest morning stop from the house.

  2. 2
    Minutes away

    The Wicked Wheel

Local bar-and-grill favorite just up Middle Beach Road. Casual, generous portions.

  3. 3
    Minutes away

    Saltwater Grill

Seafood and steaks in a big-aquarium setting — the closest thing to a special-occasion dinner nearby.

  4. 4
    About 10 minutes

    Pier Park

Not one restaurant but a whole district of them, plus shopping and the Ferris wheel. Good when nobody can agree.

  5. 5
    About 15 minutes

    Capt. Anderson's Restaurant

A Panama City Beach institution on the marina — go at sunset and watch the boats unload.

  6. 6
    About 15 minutes

    Dee's Hangout

Small, local, and beloved. Worth the wait if there is one.

  7. 7
    About 10 minutes

    Thomas Donut & Snack Shop

Old-school beachside donut counter. Go early; they sell out.

  8. 8
    30–40 minutes

    30A dining

Rosemary Beach and Seaside are worth the drive for dinner — see the Parks & Beaches guides.

Before you go: hours and menus in a beach town change with the season, and the busiest spots do not always take reservations. A quick call ahead saves a wasted drive.
